Reason!
Here's an awesome software I got hold of. Its called Reason by Propellerhead. Basically, its the first soft-synth i'm working with. Makes my job so much easy!.. Good audio quality, wide range of samples etc etc.. Still, the idea of live music, and live recording is much more challenging than using soft-synths to simplify your work. Again, for amateur musicians like me, its a nice way to create music, and show off too :-).

I too have "Reason" s/w with me. Do you know if you can record vocals with it?
Its an awesome s/w for composers...and this manmadhan track is cool.....
